Hi there! Many of you might be still enjoying your vacations, but around here we slowing getting back to our routine. How was your Christmas? Ours was very good: simple, few presents and just the four of us. I remember that when I lived in Brazil or Australia, Chistmas time meant, among other things, light meals and clothing, because it’s summer and pretty hot. But since we’ve moved to Canada, we have started a tradition of spending Christmas Eve in new and warm pyjamas. It feels very cozy, especially when it’s snowing outside!
But don’t you think it was all about snow and cold weather. When we most thought our fingers would get completely frozen, we flew to Mexico! For the children beach means a LOT of fun, but for us it was time to relax and do nothing. It was also a great opportunity to watch Nicolas trying to speak Spanish (we speak Portuguese at home, but it’s pretty close) and to be amazed at the ease of Lily sleeping anywhere, even by the pool with lots of kids playing around! Miracles do happen.
On New Year’s Eve we didn’t do anything special – just watched some episodes of How I met you mother (anyone else like this show?), had a delicious mushroom pasta and went to bed early!
And how about you? Have you spent the holidays at home or travelling? What do you prefer?
Anyway, I wish you a great New Year!
