Just me, Luciana! I’m the founder, the artist who creates all the illustrations, the person who prints, packs, goes to the post office, manages the marketing and answers all of your emails! Nice meeting you! :).
Oh well… I suggest you to grab a cup of coffee to read the story behind the name.
I’m originally from Brazil (Belo Horizonte), but I currently live with my husband and 2 children in Squamish, north of Vancouver, Canada. I share more of my story here.
Yes, I worked for 5 years as a geologist. That’s how I ended up living in several places around the world. During those 5 years I got to meet many cool people, I’ve made great friends, met my husband (who is also a geologist), learned a lot of super interesting things about our planet and of course, managed to pile up every place I got to live with rocks. But even after such a great experience, I have never been happier being a children’s illustrator.
Yes, but for 6 months only, over 15 years ago (wow, time flies!), before I went to Geology School. By that time my artwork had a totally different style, as I used to do realistic drawings. My current illustration technique comes from lots of searching and practising, all by myself and inspired by my kids and their universe. Read more here.
I actually don’t balance it very well and that is the reason I haven’t accepted any commissions lately, as my kids still demand a lot of attention and are still my priority.
First of all, thanks for supporting my art! You can purchase items from my Shop here, on the website. If you have any trouble purchasing, please, visit this step by step guide on how to buy from my shop.
Yes! If you see a piece you love but you want a different hair colour, please convo me and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.
All my prints are done using archival inks and archival paper that make the colours very vivid. I currently use Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Archival Paper (Matte) and my printer is an Epson R2880. For posters I use the local print shop, where they use a special thick poster paper (time process is a little longer though – 5-7 business days).
Three different sizes: 5 x 7, 8 x 10 and 11 x 14 inches. Alphabet posters are larger (13 x 19 and 16 x 20 inches).
I ship from Canada worldwide. Rates include shipping, handling and packaging costs.
I use regular airmail with tracking number only within Canada (if required). For international shipping the costs are too high to include a tracking number and they only give you the location while the package is in Canada, not after it leaves it. Shipping to Canada or US usually takes 3 to 7 days, other locations 7 to 14 business days, but in some occasions 4 weeks because of random custom controls. If you would like your package to be rushed, please contact me and I’ll send you a separate PayPal invoice with the additional costs.
The small sizes come in a protective cellophane sleeve in a bend-proof mailer and the bigger sizes come carefully rolled in a fat mailing tube.
Yes! They’re all handmade by me!
Before you make any purchase, please, ready my Shop Police. In the event you’ve received a damaged item, please contact me right away. I will happily replace the same item, after you send me a good picture showing the damaged item. Customer satisfaction is the number one priority for me! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any concerns you may have. I want you to love your new artwork, and appreciate the opportunity to correct any problems/mistakes prior to receiving feedback.
Sorry, but not any more.
Please, let me know of any other question you may have!
